This is a moment in the life of my grandmother Anna in 1995 when she is sitting in the garden of her daughter who is living in Carrara, a little city in the north of Italy. She seems absent-minded, to be out of the world, but at the same time she seems to be more in the world than we are usually. She gives us a strong feeling of her presence and her fragility. The camera is facing her, but she don’t give it any attention, the camera is not in her world.
